Hi, I’m Peijun Li
I am a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Pennsylvania State University, University Park, working with the MHPI team. I earned my Ph.D. in Hydrological Sciences.
I combine hydrological process understanding, multi-source observations, and differentiable and data-driven models to study water systems across scales.
Quick Look
Research areas
- Hybrid and differentiable hydrological modeling.
- Data assimilation, bias identification, and state estimation.
- Cross-scale surface-water, soil-moisture, and groundwater analysis.
Current research directions
I am developing multi-scale hydrological simulations that integrate complementary observations and represent human influences on water systems. Current work includes using SWOT data to improve hydrological modeling and incorporating reservoir operations into models.
